A 15-year-old missing since July has yet to be found, but Tangipahoa Parish authorities believe she’s likely still in the area, the Sheriff’s Office reported Thursday.

Deputies are asking the public to help find Ladana Clark. Originally from Mississippi, she was visiting family in Ponchatoula six months ago when she went missing, the Sheriff’s Office has said.

On July 31, she left a relative’s home, allegedly to go to the movies, and never came back. Authorities believe she ran away but has stayed in the area. In September, the Sheriff’s Office reported someone had seen the girl near Hammond.

“It is also believed that there are known individuals who are aware of her whereabouts,” the Sheriff’s Office wrote in a Thursday news release.

Clark is described as a black female standing 5 feet, weighing 120 pounds with curly dark hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on the investigation may call the Sheriff’s Office at (985) 902-2011.
