GREENSBURG — A Mississippi man pleaded guilty Monday to vehicular homicide and vehicular negligent injuring in connection with a 2009 crash, according to a news release from 21st Judicial District Attorney Scott Perrilloux.
Arthur Temple, 46, of Liberty, Miss., offered the plea before state District Judge Bruce Bennett, the news release said.
The wreck occurred when Temple, whose blood alcohol was 0.165, veered his vehicle into the opposite lane on La. 16, Perrilloux said.
Temple’s vehicle struck a truck driven by Allen Keith Marchand with Allen Vancleave in the passenger seat, Perrilloux said.
Marchand was killed instantly and Vancleave was seriously injured, Perrilloux said.
Sentencing has been set for Nov. 4, he said.
Temple is facing up to 30 years in prison, Perrilloux said.
