Three teenagers, one of whom is a juvenile, were arrested on multiple counts of attempted first-degree murder after an early Wednesday morning drive-by shooting in Holden, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office reported.
The three drove by a mobile home on Weston Hano Road at least three times, firing into the residence where seven people were inside, the Sheriff’s Office wrote in a Thursday news release.
Deputies found multiple bullets had penetrated the exterior wall and lodged in a wooden bed frame. One grazed a victim’s arm, though the wound did not require medical attention, the release states.
After the shooting, the suspects attempted to flee, but crashed their vehicle into a ditch, where two were found. A third ran off, but later turned himself in.
Arrested were 18-year-old Breanna Hendry, of Hammond; 17-year-old Christian Traylor, of Holden; and an unnamed juvenile. All three face three counts of assault by drive-by shooting and seven counts of attempted first-degree murder, according to the release and online jail records.
Hendry and Traylor are being held at the Livingston Parish Detention Center, where their bonds have been set at $850,000 each. The unnamed juvenile is being held at the Florida Parishes Detention Center.
Sheriff Jason Ard was quoted in the news release saying investigators have not determined a motive for the shooting.
