A 22-year-old man has been accused of sex crimes against a juvenile after he was found “in a compromising situation” with a 14-year-old girl he met online, according to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office.

A Ponchatoula man called deputies Wednesday after walking in on his daughter and Christopher Dwyer, of Baton Rouge.

Dwyer said he met the girl on a social media site and that they chatted online for a few weeks before arranging to meet up at her home, where they “engaged in illegal sexual activities,” the Sheriff’s Office wrote in a news release.

Dwyer has been arrested on one count each of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and computer-aided solicitation of a juvenile for sex.
