A Holden man fatally stabbed his father with a knife after an argument over a domestic issue Saturday night, Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies said.
Sheriff’s deputies went to the home of Brandon Ray Threeton’s at about 8 p.m. and found his father, Benjamin Threeton, wounded, said Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Lori Steele.
Threeton, 28, was placed into custody while authorities worked to save his father, who had been stabbed in his chest.
The investigation indicated the two men were arguing over a “domestic-related incident,” when Brandon Ray Threeton used a knife to stab his father, Steele said.
The Livingston Parish Coroner’s Office pronounced Benjamin Threeton dead at the scene.
Brandon Ray Threeton was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on a count of manslaughter.
The two were living together at 23765 H Samuel Road.
Steele said she did not know what sparked the argument between the two men.
The investigation is ongoing.
