The incident happened about 7:15 a.m. outside the victim’s business near South Morrison and Demarco boulevards, said Hammond police Lt. Vince Giannobile.

A man approached the victim, wielding a handgun and demanding his cash, the lieutenant said.

After leading the victim into a building, the robber took off with the victim’s Ford F-150, which was discovered about an hour later on Fred Clark Road, Giannobile said.

The robber is described as standing about 5 feet, 8 inches, with a stocky build.

He was wearing a camouflage hoodie and brown face mask.
