A Tangipahoa Parish man died in an accident after driving off a road late Tuesday.
About 11:40 p.m., troopers were called to U.S. 190 in Robert near a Wal-Mart distribution center for a reported crash, according to a State Police news release.
They believe a 1991 Ford driven by 44-year-old Bobby Creekmore Jr. was traveling east when it veered off the road and into a ditch, striking a culvert. Creekmore was taken to North Oaks Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, the release states.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, but troopers do not believe Creekmore was impaired.
He was not wearing a seat belt.
