KENTWOOD — Louisiana and federal investigators arrested three men Wednesday and recovered more than $30,000 worth of drugs, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office reported Thursday.
U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and Hammond Police Department personnel joined with Tangipahoa sheriff’s deputies in arresting Christien Scott, 27, of Greensburg; Tullie Whitten III, 27, of Greenwell Springs, and James Self, 27, of Greensburg, according to the release.
Officers recovered 15 pounds of marijuana and 115 grams of crack cocaine, the release says.
The suspects also had a .38-caliber pistol with them in the car in which they were traveling, the release says.
All three were booked into the Hammond Police Department Jail to await transfer to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service, where they will be held pending prosecution on federal charges, the release says.
