Crews have fixed an equipment problem in Livingston Parish that knocked out electricity for more than 800 DEMCO users near Watson Monday afternoon, DEMCO officials said.

The outages were in neighborhoods just south of Cane Market Road near La. 16 in Livingston Parish, according to DEMCO’s map of outages on its website. The map showed no outages shortly after 3 p.m. Monday.

Crews believe a tree fell on a power line in the area and caused the outages, DEMCO spokesman David Latona said.

Crews took about an hour and a half to fix the outages, Latona said.
