The Livingston Parish Council’s lone remaining incumbent lost his re-election bid Saturday night, guaranteeing nine new faces on the board next year.

Challenger Garry “Frog” Talbert ousted incumbent Jim Norred, 59 percent to 41 percent, with 3,579 votes cast, according to the Secretary of State’s website.

Turnout was 38.8 percent.

Five other council incumbents were defeated in the Oct. 24 primary, with three others deciding not to seek re-election.
