A Livingston man died Monday evening in a single-vehicle crash on La. 42, according to State Police.
Shortly after 9 p.m., Devan Dalgo, 52, was traveling northbound on La. 42, north of La. 16, in Livingston Parish in a 1987 Toyota pickup, when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway into a ditch, State Police said in a news release. Dalgo’s vehicle began to overturn and he was ejected from the vehicle.
Dalgo, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered fatal injuries, State Police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Livingston Parish Coroner’s Office. It was unknown if impairment was a factor in this crash. A toxicology sample will be submitted to the State Police Crime Lab for analysis.
Officers from Troop A are investigating.
