A pair of drug stings in Tangipahoa Parish this week netted five arrests and uncovered caches of methamphetamine and illegally obtained prescription drugs.

On Wednesday, deputies searched a home on West Bennett Lane in Robert where they found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and ingredients used to cook meth, the Sheriff’s Office wrote in a news release. They arrested three people who live in the camper.

Deputies also raided a home at 21317 Lake Pontchartrain Drive in Ponchatoula, where investigators found “several new and used needles throughout the residence,” the release states.

The residents said they used the needles to inject meth and prescription medication, and agents found illegally obtained Opana, a pain medication, at the home.

Brittany Liberto, Michael Wayne McGary and Shaune McMorris each face one count of manufacturing methamphetamine in connection with the bust at the camper.

Rachel Sharp and Dennis Sharp, who live at the home in Ponchatoula, each face a count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rachel Sharp faces an additional count of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.
