A body discovered Wednesday afternoon off La. 16 in Livingston Parish is believed to be that of a 29-year-old Ponchatoula man missing since September, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office said.
Though the identity of the person had not yet been confirmed, authorities believe it is Seth Landry, said Dawn Panepinto, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Office.
Panepinto said the body was taken to the Coroner’s Office.
Investigators are interviewing potential witnesses and gathering information, Panepinto said, though foul play is not suspected.
Panepinto said more information will be released Friday.
