Two juveniles — ages 15 and 16 — have been arrested for holding up a convenience store with BB guns Tuesday morning, according to Hammond Police. A 14-year-old and an 18-year-old also were picked up in relation to the armed robbery.

About 2 a.m., officers were called to the Circle K store on South Morrison Boulevard, where the clerk said two males had walked inside brandishing weapons and demanding money from the register, police wrote on the department’s Facebook page. The clerk handed over “a small amount of cash,” and the suspects fled.

A short time later, police found the suspects, as well as guns and cash, during a traffic stop on Natchez Street near Field Drive, according to the Facebook post.

Each suspect was arrested on one count of armed robbery and booked into the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center. Aridies Cain, the 18-year-old driver, was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. A 14-year-old passenger who officers believe was not involved in the robbery was arrested for being an accessory after the fact but later released to a parent.
