Tangipahoa Parish authorities are offering a $2,500 reward for information about a deadly house fire in Hammond that may have been arson, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.

When firefighters arrived at 45158 N. Baptist Road, they found the body of Charles Anthony Ockman, 62, with his hands bound behind his back, the news release says.

A cause of death for Ockman has not been determined but it's possible that he was murdered before the fire, the news release says.

The Sheriff’s Office and the Louisiana State Fire Marshal are investigating the fire, the news release says.
