KENTWOOD — Nearly two weeks after accused rapist Kaunda Lopaz Magee fled into a wooded area in northern Tangipahoa Parish, he remains at large, authorities said.

Magee eluded Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s deputies by fleeing into the woods after a car chase Oct. 12.

TPSO deputies and agents from several other law enforcement agencies are still searching for Magee in a wooded area near Kentwood, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office.

The last confirmed sighting of Magee was on Oct. 14, the release says.

A $10,000 reward has been offered for anyone who provides information leading to Magee’s capture, the release says.

Magee has outstanding warrants for aggravated kidnapping, rape and attempted murder of a police officer, the release says.
