Auditions start Sunday for Ascension Community Theatre’s March production of “Amadeus.”

The play, directed by Lorna Culmone Bourgeois, will run March 7 to March 10 and March 14 to March 17.

Auditions are from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Pasqua Theater, 823 Felicity St., Gonzales.

There are speaking roles for seven men and one woman.

Servants and townspeople can be either gender and will have limited lines. Only mature actors older than 16 are encouraged to audition, a news release from ACT states.

No monologues or other prepared speeches are needed. Do come dressed in comfortable clothing as the “venticelli” chorus will be required to learn and perform stylized movement, the release states.
