After a brief absence, the Donaldsonville Sunshine Festival returns to South Louisiana Fairgrounds Thursday through Sunday.

The Donaldsonville Area Chamber of Commerce brings back the festival with music, carnival rides by Mitchell Brothers, food and fun.

Rob Taylor, a Top-10 finalist on the “The Voice,” Season 8, will highlight the festival Saturday.

The Saturday schedule includes displays from the Donaldsonville High School Art Department under the direction of Kyte Aymond.

The festival, previously held in October, is a fundraiser for the chamber.
