Burnside Avenue was crowded Sunday with people screaming for candy and other goodies as the annual Jambalaya Festival Association Christmas Parade rolled.
Families lined the route early Sunday morning, with many reserving their spot the night before.
The float entry from Genesis Learning Center won the Best of Show award, parade organizers said.
First-place honors also went to Alexander Concrete and the Guist Brothers, Dutchtown 4-H Club and True Light Worship Center, judge Joyce LaCour said.
