Plans are underway for Ascension Christian School’s Lions and Legacy Gala.
The school’s inaugural fundraising event is designed to embrace the community with food, fun and good friends, said Ascension Christian School Superintendent Mark Pellegrin.
“This event will be spectacular,” Pellegrin said. “We are partnered with many local restaurants that will serve choice menu selections for tasting. We have lots of fantastic auction items up for bid that we know our guests will love. Everyone should come expecting to be entertained.”
The Baton Rouge Community Jazz Ensemble will provide entertainment, and other performances are planned.
Pellegrin said games and other activities are on tap.
He said the school depends on the support of community leaders and businesses to help achieve its Christian mission focused on educational excellence for every student.
“Our success is enhanced by the generosity and kindness of our community leaders, business partners, families and friends,” he said. “They help us fund our vision. The gala is an opportunity to share the school’s successes and continue to build a legacy.”
The Lions and Legacy Gala is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, May 1, at the Household of Faith Church in Gonzales.
Tickets are on sale and cost $25.
