Students at Prairieville Primary School collected green beans, mashed potatoes, corn and soups so that about 320 cancer patients and their families could enjoy Christmas meals, a news release from the school said.

The names of patients were provided by Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge, the release said.

Healing Place Church in Baton Rouge provided hams to go with the food to complete the meal, and the items were delivered Dec. 13 by church volunteers.
