St. Amant High School head football coach David Oliver and head strength and condition coach Dwayne Thomassee are teaming up with other staffers to hold a series of summer football camps in June and July.

The Gator Football Camp I, for first- through fifth-graders, and Gator Football Camp II, for sixth- through eighth-graders, will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 6-9 at the St. Amant High School football field.

Campers will learn the fundamentals of football skills in a relaxed atmosphere at the non-contact camp, Oliver said in a new release.

The St. Amant Rising Stars Camp is designed for any student, boy or girl, of all skill levels, who wants to improve their speed, agility, quickness and strength.

Rising Stars is for student athletes enrolled in the sixth- through eighth-grade. The camp, which costs $75 if paid for by June 1, is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 7-30, but no session on June 16.

Rising Stars will be held in the school’s weight room.

The Gator O-­Line Academy is a development academy for offensive linemen.

This academy will include fundamentals and techniques for linemen, mental aspects of the game, zone and gap blocking schemes, alignment rules and film evaluation.

The academy, for students in third- through eight-grade, will be instructed by SAHS offensive lineman coach Hunter Crowder.

The academy, set for June 6 through July 20 on Mondays and Wednesdays costs $100.

The St. Amant Elite Tackle Instruction Camp is for first- through sixth-graders and is set for from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 5 at St. Amant High School football fields.

This camp includes tackling techniques taught by trained youth and high school coaches.
