‘Taste of Ascension’ event set for July 13-26 _lowres

Martinez read the proclamation aloud at the July 2 Parish Council meeting in Donaldsonville. Tracy Browning, director of the Ascension Parish Tourism Commission, along with staff members and board members, announced the upcoming Taste of Ascension event that spotlights the restaurants across the parish. Browning said special menus will be available during the two-week celebration. Taste of Ascension, a two-­week dining event presented by the Ascension Parish Tourism Commission, will be held from July 13-­26.

Participating restaurants are Café Lafourche, Carli-­Co Café, DeAngelo’s, Don’s Seafood, Galvez Seafood, Grapevine, Mike Anderson’s, Houmas House-Café Burnside, Mulligan’s Grill at Pelican Point Golf Club, Pelican Landing Grill, On the Half Shell, Sno’s Seafood, Tee Wayne’s Cajun Cookin’, The Cabin Restaurant and The Coffee House.

Specially priced offers and fixed-price menu selections will be featured. Participating restaurant menus will be listed at tasteofascension.com.
