Donation garners yard flag

The Gonzales Firefighters Association’s American Flag campaign is underway.

For a $20 donation, members of the association will place an American flag in a resident’s year for July 4th, Labor Day, Patriot’s Day, Veterans, Day, Memorial Day and Flag Day.

Anyone who signs up before July 3rd will be entered into a drawing for a $200 Tanger Outlet Center gift card donated by Gonzales Mayor Barney Arceneaux and Tanger. The drawing winner will also receive a cooked Boston Butt from the group on July 4.

Anyone in east Ascension can sign up for the flag service.

Contact any Gonzales firefighter for more information or email njoos83@yahoo.com.
