Plans are underway for the 2016 Gonzales Rotary Club Food Festival set for March 29.
The event is a collaboration of area restaurants and local food vendors who come together for a taste of the food offered in the area, a news release said.
“We are so thankful for their participation and look forward to this year’s event,” said Gary Laiche, Food Festival chairman.
Last year, more than 500 people participated to help feed the needy in the community. The event raises money and collects canned goods for the St. Theresa Food Bank in Gonzales.
Tickets are $25 in advance and can be purchased at the Gonzales City Hall, 128 Irma Blvd., or Dr. James Jeansonne’s office, 1116 Purpera Ave., Gonzales. Tickets can be purchased through any member of the Gonzales Rotary Club prior to the event or at the door for $30 on the day of the event.
