East Ascension High School is celebrating 50 years of football during a Sept. 18 homecoming ceremony in Spartan Stadium.

Members of the school’s first football team are asked to enter through Pleasant Street at Spartan Stadium before 4:30 p.m. A bus will take the former players to the school for a tour of the campus.

The players will be introduced at 6:40 p.m., and members of the team will serve as honorary captains for the coin toss.

A special section of the stadium will be reserved for “founding fathers of EA football,” event organizer Jamie Andrews said.

Players are asked to RSVP to jamie.andrews@apsb.org no later than Friday.
