The Jambalaya Festival Association’s Gonzales Christmas Parade is rolling one hour ahead of schedule Sunday.
Parade chairwoman Vanessa Blair said the parade, set to start at 2 p.m., will roll at 1 p.m. because of expected thunderstorms.
“The weather folks are telling us the bad weather should hit around 6 p.m.,” she said Friday.
The parade starts at East Ascension High School on Worthey Road and turns onto Burnside Highway before ending at Airline Highway.
More than 100 entries are expected, she said.
