Fourteen bands competed Oct. 21 in the Dutchtown Marching Festival.

Expected afternoon thunderstorms forced event organizers to move the start time of the event from noon to 8 a.m. 

East Ascension and St. Amant high school bands competed, and host Dutchtown high performed in exhibition.

St. Amant won the overall grand champion honor.
