The play runs through Sunday and Nov. 13 through Nov. 16 at the Pasqua Theatre in Gonzales.

Veterans Day ceremony
The Ascension Veterans Memorial Park Committee hosts its annual Veterans Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the park’s amphitheater.
Guest speaker will be Emeric Watson, founder and chairman of Wounded War Heroes.
Music will be provided by a combined choir from East Ascension, St. Amant and Dutchtown high schools.
Military honors will be presented by the St. Amant Navy Junior ROTC and local veteran organizations.
The event is open to the public and free.
The Ascension Veterans Memorial Park is at 612 Irma Blvd. in Gonzales, next to the Ascension Parish Library.

Saturday is the deadline to register for the Ascension Youth Basketball Association program for boys and girls ages 6 to 15.

Writer to speak
George Morris, features writer at The Advocate , will discuss World War II at 6 p.m. Nov. 10 at Ascension Parish Library’s Galvez branch.
Morris has written more than 100 stories about World War II veterans living in south Louisiana, as well as the wartime experiences of civilians living in war-affected countries.
The subjects of his stories saw the war from Bataan to Burma to Bastogne, on the air, sea, and ground, and from Pearl Harbor to the surrender ceremonies in Tokyo Bay. For more information or to register, call the Galvez branch at 622-3339.
Nachos and board games
The Ascension Parish Library’s Dutchtown branch is hosting a Board Games and Nachos program at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 13.
The program is open to all teens in sixth-grade and up.
