The association supports local artists, promotes the arts in the community, and provides educational opportunities for emerging and established artists, students and the general public.
River Region Art Association is funded in part through contributions from individuals, area businesses and Ascension Parish government and through in-kind support from the city of Gonzales and Houmas House Plantation and Gardens.
It also is supported by a grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council as administered by the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.
