Applications are being accepted for the 23rd Judicial District Bar Association’s annual scholarship program.
The Bar Association will award four $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors from Ascension, Assumption and St. James parishes.
Selection is based on academic achievement, community service and financial need. The scholarships are funded by donations from attorneys and judges who belong to the Bar Association.
“As members of the Bar Association, we know what it is like to devote countless amounts of energy and effort into obtaining a college degree. As such, we have committed to pledge our resources back into the community to assist those students who have demonstrated a desire through their academic achievements and volunteer efforts to maintain a commitment to further their education and give back to their community," President Cody Martin said.
Interested seniors can get an application from their high school counselors or email email@example.com. The deadline to apply is April 7.
