Students at St. John Primary received awards May 21 at St. John the Evangelist Church. First- through third-grade students received the SJP Award, the highest award given by administrators at the school, a news release from the school said. The award is given to one student per class who exemplifies the characteristics of a St. John Primary School student, the release stated. The students who received the awards are polite, courteous, try hard, wear the proper uniform and treat classmates in a Christian manner.
