The seventh annual Cottages for CASA playhouse raffle winners were announced at a drawing Nov. 18 at Stine Lumber in Walker.

The Decked Out Playhouse was won by Pat Golembiewski, of Gonzales, and the Train Depot Playhouse was won by Rebecca Davis, of Hammond. A third ticket for a week’s stay from Wyndham Vacation Rentals was won by Greg Kern, of Hammond.

This year’s custom playhouses were built in partnership with designers Holly and Smith Architects and Scairiono Martinez Architects and builders McLin Construction, Glen Alack, Darrel Amar Jr. and Kirk Hendry. All materials were supplied by Stine Lumber, Gabriel Building Supply and Helm Paint.

Cottages for CASA raises public awareness and funding to support services to children and families through the Court Appointed Special Advocates and Children’s Advocacy Center programs.

“Child Advocacy Services is extremely fortunate to have so much community support. Because of this, the number of people joining us in our mission to serve children grows every year,” said Ginger Cangelosi, community outreach director for Child Advocacy Services.

“Whether help comes through lending financial support, donating physical labor, buying or selling raffle tickets, or just telling people about CASA, there’s no way we can put a price on the value of our community partnerships,” Cangelosi said.
