Ascension Parish 4-H Shooting Sports members Bobby Brignac, Zackary Poche and Cameron Braud competed at nationals June 23-26 in Nebraska.

Brignac, Poche and Braud competed in smallbore pistol, smallbore rifle and air pistol. Each competitor had to place among the top three in each discipline at state to move on to nationals, a news release said. Each student spent three days competing in each event.

Brignac competed in smallbore pistol and placed 12th in slow fire, second place team in silhouettes, second place and second place team in Camp Perry and fourth place with second-place team.

Braud competed in smallbore rifle and was sixth place team in silhouettes and 10th place and ninth place team in CMP.

Poche competed in air pistol and was 34th place and 13th place team in rapid fire, 48th place and 12th place team in silhouettes and 45th place and 12th place team in slow fire.
