The St. Amant High Gators cross country team participated in the River Parishes Championship meet in LaPlace on Oct. 31.
The girls team finished in second place, with three members finishing in the top 15: Lloren Lawrence, fourth; Tytaya Guzman, 11th and personal record time; and Cristina Colon, 15th. Jillian Parks and Valentina Nunez rounded out the girls’ team, placing 17th and 18th, respectively.
Also running for the girls were Sierra King, who set a personal record, and Jera’nae Donald with her best time this season.
The boys team finished in fourth, its best finish of the season, and had three runners in the top 15: Eber Rivas, 12th; Matthew Rosendale, 13th and season best; and Nathan Carmouche, 14th. Austin Parent and Beaux Roy completed the boys team with 21st and 25th place, respectively.
Also running for the Gators were Kohl Poche, 27th and a personal record; Trevor Serpas; Garrett Parks, personal record; Vertrell Harris, personal record; Connor Smith; and Jordan Schmidt, season best.
