PCS Nitrogen, a subsidiary of Potash Corp., surprised Pecan Grove Primary earlier this month with a $38,500 donation to pay for classroom computers and a new basketball court.

“It took us a long time to purchase our current playground, and with this donation, we will be able to expand it by building a basketball court,” said Amy Champagne, Pecan Grove Primary principal. “Also, a portion of this donation will be used for classroom computers for our students to practice skills during stations.

“If it wasn’t for this donation, it would take our school community years to raise this money. We are so thankful.”
