St. Amant boys and girls tennis teams on March 4 defeated teams from Live Oak High School, a news release from the school said.

In boys singles action, St. Amant High School’s Brett LeBlanc defeated Ben Baker, of Live Oak, 6-2, 6-4, and Luke Savoie, St. Amant, beat Nathan Holiday 6-1, 7-6.

The St. Amant doubles team of Kase Savoy and Logan Ganaway won a match against Live Oak’s Jordan Holloway and Trevor Landry 6-2, 6-1.

In other doubles results, Trace Sheets and Michael Melancon, of St. Amant, defeated Zach DelValle and Darin Alleman 6-0, 6-1, and St. Amant’s Logan Langlois and Steven Saucier recorded a win after a Live Oak forfeit.

On the girls court, St. Amant’s Victoria Buquet beat Ashley McClary 6-2, 6-0, and Angelle Naquin, of St. Amant, defeated Peyton Burke 6-2, 6-1

In doubles action, St. Amant’s Emma Frederic and Caitlin Denton defeated Devyn Cropper and Angela Bernard 6-0, 6-0, and Julia Wright and Cassidy Guitrau, of St. Amant, defeated Mackenzie McDonald and Bailey Coleman 6-2, 6-0.

In addition, St. Amant’s Sophia Belleu and Cassie Melancon defeated Heather Hembree and Emma James 6-0, 6-0.
