Griffin Stadium was the site of another inter-parish game as Dutchtown outlasted the East Ascension Spartans by the score of 24-14. Things were pretty even as the first quarter ended in a 7-7 tie.

The Griffins (6-2, 3-0) added another touchdown and a field goal in the second quarter as the Spartans (3-5, 1-2) put another seven points on the board as the score was 17-14 at the half in favor of Dutchtown. The Spartans’ offense couldn’t get anything going in the second half as the Griffins put up another 7 points in the third quarter and the game ended 24-14.

The Griffins will face their toughest district opponent when they face the Catholic High Bears on enemy territory at 7 p.m. Friday. Both teams possess 3-0 records in district play.

The Spartans will take on the McKinley Panthers in a home game at 7 p.m. Friday.
