The Ascension Advocate’s first Classroom of the Month, a new feature, is teacher Beryl King’s pre-kindergarten class at St. John Primary School in Prairieville. Each month, St. John Primary School will select a classroom for this feature.

Students were asked the following questions:

  • What do you want to be when you grow up, and what will you need?
  • CHARLES ARCENEAUX: I want to be an LSU football player. I need to study.
  • PEYTON BERTHELOT: I want a job with dogs. I need to do a lot of work and stuff.
  • EMMA BLANCHARD: I want to be Elsa. I need to study at princess school.

  • PRESLIE EASLEY: I want to be a doctor. You check somebody so I need patients.
  • CHRISTOPHER ESKEW: I want to be a chef. I need to cook everything.
  • LLEYTON HATCHER: I want to be a firefighter; I want to put water out. I need sirens on top and a ladder.
  • ALEX LANOUX: I want to be a dancer. I need ballet shoes.
  • BROCK MATHERNE: I want to be a daddy. I need grownup clothes.
  • JULIE MCDOWELL: I want to be a teacher. I need to grow up.
  • ISABELLA PIPER: I want to be a vet. I need to help animals.
  • KYLE PROCHASKA: I want to be a shark. I need to swim.
  • NATALIE RAHM: I want to be Elsa. I’m a princess, and I need to grow up.
  • CAMERON RODRIGUE: I want to be a Ninja Turtle. I need those strings like these (waving hands around) that fight.
  • CAROLINE ST. PIERRE: I want to be Elsa. I need a sparkly dress.
  • ETHAN SUTTON: I want to be a Power Ranger. I need a sword and a blaster.
