G.W. Carver Primary School students got a lesson in table etiquette May 9 as volunteers explained where to put a napkin and which fork to use when.
Volunteers with Face to Face Enrichment Center and Hope Youth Development talked to the students about the importance of manners and respect when eating out at a restaurant.
Mark Peters, director of Hope Youth Development, said volunteers with his nonprofit agency visit with the students throughout the year to share “life lessons and serve as mentors and role models.”
The children learned the lessons before eating a meal at the Clarion Inn in Gonzales.
