Members of the East Ascension Rotary Club warmed up their voices and got in the Christmas Spirit on Dec. 2 as they caroled for a cause.

The Rotarians, joined by area schoolchildren, visited neighborhoods to sing Christmas carols to families in exchange for new, unwrapped gifts, which were then donated to the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Christmas Crusade for Children, a news release from the club said.

“This is always a fun way for us to contribute to a worthy cause and get in the spirit of Christmas all at the same time,” East Ascension Rotary President Bridget Hanna said. “We want to thank all of the families that contributed gifts or donations this year.”
