Gonzales Middle School teachers were presented a check for $257 on April 14 to be donated to grants that will help Louisiana babies who are in need of heart surgery. The money was raised through a dress-down day at the school.

Gonzales Middle teachers Taylor and Bridgette Ford accepted the check to deliver to the Louisiana Pediatric Cardiology Foundation because their daughter had open-heart surgery in September, and their travels were funded with such a grant.
