Gifted students in Tara Jones’ classes at St. Amant High School are benefiting from software purchased through a $1,000 grant from the Ascension Fund.

Jones used the grant to purchase a subscription to the online software program, which allows students to complete individualized AP, ACT and SAT prep courses. Students and their teachers are able to track their progress through the program.

Funds for the grant were provided by the All Star Ford Lincoln Endowment Grant through the Ascension Fund.

The nonprofit Ascension Fund was founded by the Gonzales Rotary Club in 1991 to provide grants for innovative ideas and programs in Ascension Parish public schools.

The Ascension Fund awards teacher grants of $500 or $1,000 and school impact grants of $2,500 on an annual competitive basis. Visit for details.
