St. Amant High cross country runners participated Saturday in the Catholic High Invitational at Highland Park in Baton Rouge.
One of the largest meets in the state, the Gators competed against many of the schools that runners will be up against at the state championship in November.
Freshman Gabby Quebedeaux set a personal record in the junior varsity race and also in the two-mile course with a time of 23:26.
The Gators compete Oct. 18 in the Walker Shootout at Sidney Hutchinson Park in Walker.
Varsity girls run at 9 a.m. and varsity boys run at 9:40 a.m. Junior varsity runners will compete in a three-mile race at 11:30 a.m.
