The Gonzales Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3693 in March announced the winners of the VFW Post-sponsored Americanism and Voice of Democracy programs.
The goals of the Americanism program are to promote patriotism, teach elementary and middle school students about our American heritage, demonstrate the proper care of the U.S. flag and ensure that the public will never forget the sacrifices made by America’s soldiers, a news release from the VFW post said.
