Cub Scout Pack 942, located in the Prairieville area, held its annual Pinewood Derby race at the Gonzales Knights of Columbus Hall on Jan. 23.

The Scouts partnered with a parent or adult mentor to design, carve, paint, weigh, refine and race a car. Parents and siblings also were allowed to build and race.

Hayden Edmonds was the overall pack champion with the fastest racing time, and Brody Clement won the Flat Tire Award, given to the slowest car.

The following Scouts won first, second or third place in their respective divisions and will compete in the Istrouma Council Pinewood Derby.

TIGER: Noah Wolf, first; Logan Russo, second; and Joseph Travis, third.

WOLF: Ethan Roberts, first; Josh Miller, second; and William Arnold, third.

BEAR: Joel Burnett, first; Alex Louque, second; and Matthew Travis, third.

WEBELOS: Edmonds, first; Michael Colligan Jr., second; and Cooper Smith, third.

WEBELOS II: David Lloyd, first; Skylar Keen, second; and Josh McConnell, third.

ADULTS: Richard Roberts, first; Tammy Colligan, second; and Mike Colligan, third.

BUGS (SIBLINGS): Faith Colligan, first; Blake Roberts, second; and Jude Ory, third.
