River Community Church in Prairieville has announced the results of its fourth annual children’s community art show, held Aug. 30, a news release said.
Sixteen artworks from area artists ages 5 to 13 were entered in the show, judged by Prairieville artist Jan Hebert and coordinated by Jeanie Liehe.
Receiving ribbons in the ages 5-9 group were “Spring Flowers” by Annika Small, first place; “Cezanne Still Life” by Arielle Forest, second place; “The Art of God” by Eternity Campbell, third place; and “Calliope: Self Portrait” by Calliope “Callie” Putnam and “Heart” by Regan Gilley, honorable mention.
Ribbon winners in the ages 10-13 group were “Bird Party” by Maki Johnson, first place; “Reflections of Autumn” by Grace Williams, second place; and “Colorful Cranium” by Charity Campbell, third place.
The exhibit is on display through Sept. 27 at the church, 36367 Old Perkins Road; viewing is from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sundays or when the church office is open. Viewings by appointment are available by emailing the Rev. Steve Rhodes at steve@rivercommunity. org.
