Teams in the Louisiana Elite Youth Football and Cheer League competed in the second round of the playoffs Nov. 15 in Zachary at Bronco Stadium.

Kicking off a full day of Elite football were the Donaldsonville Redskins and Central Bobcats D teams.

The Redskins lost to the Bobcats, 20-6.

At 9 a.m., Donaldsonville’s C team defeated the Ascension Bulldogs C team, 28-6.

The A teams from Donaldsonville and Pointe Coupee played next, with the Hurricanes defeating the Redskins, 35-0.

Elite football’s B teams played at noon with the Dutchtown Griffins losing to the Pointe Coupee Hurricanes, 26-0.

The Dutchtown Griffins and Zachary’s Junior Broncos, both D teams, also played Saturday with the Griffins falling to the Jr. Broncos, 12-6.

The C teams from Pointe Coupee and Zachary played, with the Hurricanes losing to the Jr. Broncos, 22-18.

Zachary’s A and B teams also defeated the White Castle Kings, 35-21, and the Donaldsonville Redskins, 14-6, respectively.

Winners from Saturday’s games will head to the Superbowl Nov. 22 at Southern’s A.W. Mumford Stadium.
