The Ascension Chamber of Commerce held a reception for the 38 members of its 21st Leadership Ascension Class on Aug. 24 at Parc 73 in Prairieville, a news release said.
Leadership Ascension is designed to develop responsible and informed community leaders through a 10-month program. Monthly sessions cover topics including diversity, education, social concerns, health care, law enforcement and government.
The program begins with a team-building opening retreat and ends with a two-day closing retreat where the students review the sessions, share thoughts on Ascension Parish and present class projects that are developed throughout the year.
