St. Elizabeth Hospital has adopted Prairieville Primary School.
Hospital President and Chief Executive Officer Robert Burgess said the hospital was pleased to add Prairieville Primary to its list of adopted schools.
Prairieville Principal Carol Smith reached out to the hospital a few months ago concerning possible support, said Scott Richard, vice president of finance for St. Elizabeth Hospital.
“She explained that the school was in need of a new sign and was looking for help in order to meet this need. That’s when we thought it would be a wonderful idea to adopt the school. After speaking with Mrs. Smith and representatives of Ascension Parish schools, the idea was approved.”
The hospital recently contributed to help purchase the sign.
“Prairieville Primary is extremely blessed to have a highly involved and supportive parent-base, but even with such support there are needs that are unfunded. We are very excited about this new partnership with St. Elizabeth and we are grateful for the support,” Smith said.
